A recent report by the Indian government’s think tank, NITI Aayog, and Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC). The report said that the sale of electric two-wheelers may cross 220 lakh units (22 million units) in FY 2028–29 under the optimistic, same performance and battery cost challenged scenarios. It may reach 180 lakh units (18 million units) under the technology-driven scenario. Under the incentive-driven scenario, the sale is expected to reach 55 lakh units (5.5 million units) in FY 2031.

On the other hand, under “Mobility as a Service” by aggregators, these programs will create an opportunity to over 50 lakh youth across the country for last mile delivery for various online logistic operators in a legally bound transport rules to have commercial license to use EV two-wheeler. PM E-DrRIVE scheme is also giving subsidies. A development of an ecosystem for boosting entrepreneurship & enterprises by extending social economic benefit to the unemployed people on the Principle of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

NSIC TIC HAYASA Nirbhar Kaushal Kendra

In view of the above reports, based on these real issues on ground, NSIC ( PSU under Ministry of MSME-GOV of India) Hayasa has crafted a program to create a pool of over 36 lakh EV service technicians in upcoming years.

And under various funding and subsidies schemes, more than 50 lakh entrepreneurs with EV Scooters will be supported across the country.

To fulfil the above need of the market, NSIC and HAYASA is opening Training cum Incubation Centers with Laboratory/ service centre in every district of country within walkable vicinity of citizens at rural village level as “NSIC HAYASA NIRBHAR KAUSHAL KENDRA”

NSIC has executed this program with Hayasa and expect Hayasa to take lead to appoint training cum incubation centers (Nirbhar Kaushal Kendra) across country of India and to supervise the operations of the said Nirbhar Kaushal Kendra.

Hayasa will facilitate setting of Nirbhar Kaushal Kendra through its service partners and support its operations to create well trained technicians who can take care of service, manufacturing and sales support for EV (2Wheeler) market.

NSIC in collaboration with Hayasa has prepared the infrastructure criteria to appoint service centers and accordingly Hayasa is entrusted with a responsibility to create a network of Nirbhar Kaushal Kendra from eligible persons/entities who are interested in joining NSIC (MSME) - Hayasa to operate such centers meeting criteria of infrastructure as required under NSIC – TIC program.

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) (as PSU under Ministry of MSME – Gov of INDIA), plays a vital role in EV manufacturing for India’s MSME sector for various components as well as complete EV two-wheeler.

Indian market is very wide and needs services near by the user.

MSME also supports entrepreneurs’ development and self-employment support under various schemes and subsidies and loan funding for use of EV as mobility for the last mile delivery person using the EV two-wheeler, which are under commercial category of the usage of the two wheelers.
